Representative Delegation of the European Union to Turkey Ms Stephanie TSE visited us.

On 10th March 2015, in scope of the project "Development and Protection of Girls' Human Rights", Representative Delegation of the European Union to Turkey Ms Stephanie TSE visited us.


Turkey - EU Joint Parliamentary Commission Co-President Joost Lagendijk's Visit

Turkey-EU Joint Parliamentary Commission Co-President Joost Lagendijk visited our association on 15–16 June 2005 and visited project sites such as Çamlıhemşin and Ayder Highland.


Delegation of European Union to Turkey, First Secretary    Mr Michael Vögele joined our project activity.

Our Association has created an important awareness in Black Sea Region to the membership of Turkey to the EU and performed the project of "You got a message from Europe" with our Bulgarian and Czech partners with the support of the EU. 

Both in that project and also in our other activities, we received requests from you, dearest NGO representatives, about arranging an informative seminar on the EU.  We discussed that in our managing board and arranged Turkey - Europe Union Relations and Membership Status Round Table Meetingon 2 July 2009 in Rize - Dedeman Hotel.First Secretary from Delegation of EU to Turkey, Mr Michael Vögeleand Director of Democratization and Civil Society SectorMs  Aycan Akdeniz participated to this meeting of ours.  Opening speech was delivered by the Management Board Chair of Black Sea Environment Association Mr. Yasar Yegen.  After a brief opening speech was given, Mr Yegen gave the floor to Mr. Mihael Vögele.  Mr. Vögele summarized the candidate membership process of Turkey, negotiation chapters, and on which stage Turkey was in these negotiations.  Mr. Mihael Vögele replied the questions from the participants after his speech.  Questions-answers are the basics for democratic environments, thus, it was provided that each participant could ask their questions to the representative of the most recognized authority in Turkey about the EU and that contributed to objective and clear explanation of the topics.  In the meeting including 24 NGO representatives in total, a 2-page survey was conducted and the views before and after the meetings were asked.17 people completed the surveys and handed to KACED management.  Each survey was evaluated carefully.  It was seen that many of the participants were satisfied with the meeting and they expected a larger meeting with more participants.


Istanbul Consul General of Sweden Mr. Torkel Stiernlof Visit

Mr. Torkel Stiernlöf, Istanbul Counsel General of Sweden, visited Rize as the guest for the Project of Creating Effective Awareness for the Protection and Development of Human Rights. 


H.E. Mr. Peter DOYLE, Australia Ambassador, joined our project meeting on 5 June 2008.

Australia Ambassador Mr Doyle honoured our meeting on 5 June, to participate in World Environment Day activities and to start the project regarding the climate change, conducted by our association and supported by Australia Embassy.

On the date 17th of August 2005, H.E. Mrs Jean DUNN, Ambassador of Australia, attended our project meeting.

Within the context of eco-schools project, H.E. Mrs. Jean DUNN, Ankara Ambassador of Australia, visited Rize province. She made inspections on the project site. She made press statements for the TV channels in Rize, underlining her support for the project.

British Embassy Secondary Chief Clerk Mr Geoff Collier project visit

Mr. Collier visited our project office in scope of the environmental training project we conducted with the cooperation of British Embassy and Provincial Gendarmerie Command. 


 A brief for the project was delivered to Czech Republic Ambassador.

A brief on the project supported by the European Union and with the partnerships of Bulgarian European Community Studies Association, whose centre is located in Bulgaria, and European Policy Institute, whose centre is located in Czech Republic, was given to Czech Republic Ambassador Ms. Eva FILIPI by Yasar YEGEN. 


A brief for the project was delivered to Bulgarian Ambassador.

A brief on the project supported by the European Union and with the partnerships of Bulgarian European Community Studies Association, whose centre is located in Bulgaria, and European Policy Institute, whose centre is located in Czech Republic, was given to Bulgarian Ambassador Mr. Emil GORANOV by Yasar YEGEN.

Russian Federation Trabzon Counsel General Mr.  B Alexander P. joined the introductory meeting of TOLSTOPYATENKO project

British Counsel General clerk Ms. Penny Miller joined our certificate ceremony.

British Counsel General clerk Ms. Penny Miller joined our certificate ceremony of the project "NGO - public cooperation in eco-tourism and environment training" conducted with the support of British European Environmental Fund (DEFRA).  That ceremony was held on 22 August 2006, 14:30, in Uzungol - Inanlar Hotel Meeting Hall. 


 

International Workshop on Recovery of Black Sea Ecosystem  

Our association is mainly concerned about Black Sea ecology.  The protection of the Black Sea will be not only with the participation of a single country but with the works contributed by all countries having shores to the Black Sea.  For this purpose, a series of interviews were done between 6 - 14 January 2004 with the participation of 4 people representing the management board of our association, youth section and women's section, with Georgia environment associations, international organizations, Turkish Embassy, Tbilisi State University and Georgia Ministry of Environment authorities.  In these interviews, the idea of organizing a workshop in Rize, led by KACED and KACED hosted that workshop.  That workshop was done between 21-23 January 2004 in Rize Ardesen Teachers' Lodge.  14 NGO representatives from Georgia and Turkey and governmental authorities participated that workshop:
